Hotel Project - Completed!

After 4 months, our Hotel Project has come to an end.

From the end of January to the beginning of June, we've seen 21 guests come through our doors. The project has been a great success in such trying times and a testament to the incredible community here in Barnet. Without this project, many of our guests would have found themselves on the streets for extended periods of time during the harsh winter months and a global pandemic.

Instead, they were provided 2 meals a day, along with a £5 Costa gift voucher daily for lunch, and their own ensuite room with heating and hot water. A massive thank you to all of our communities for all of their hard work, providing volunteers cooking and delivering delicious meals and keeping our guests well fed, we couldn't have done this without you! A big thank you also to the local Barnet hotel for allowing us to carry out this project at your facility.

Due to the support we received from Public Health and Barnet Council, and the hard work of the whole TiB team, we were able to put stringent Covid-safety protocols in place and were able to prevent any transmission of Covid-19 having zero cases among guests, volunteers and staff.

So what now? We are very pleased and relieved to report that by the closing of the project, all of our remaining guests have been found alternative accommodation. Stable accommodation is the first step for these people to getting their lives back on track, so ourselves at TiB are over the moon that we've been able to facilitate emergency shelter for these people when they needed it and that no one returned to the streets.

Work is now underway, planning for this coming Autumn/Winter so please keep your eyes open for our updates… we have another project fast approaching!
